March Break in Muskoka & Almaguin in Ontario for Kids

I look forward to March Break every year with my husband and kids for my Family Vacation. Renting a Cottage up north can be a great experience for the whole family. I was so surprised last year to discover that most small towns in Muskoka and the Almaguin Highlands offer lots of fun things for the kids to enjoy at a very low cost or no cost at all. Most towns have ice skating, movie night and story time.

Some things that my kids and I enjoy doing over March Break is snow tubing, bowling, skating and movie night.

In Ontario north of Toronto in Cottage Country you can also enjoy dogsledding, sleigh rides, down hill skiing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing.
